Kristen Doute’s New Upper House Fixer: See Living Room Decor

When Kristen Doubt spoke to The dish of the day podcast of her Valley Village home, which she bought about a year ago, she described it as “a 1939 renovator”. (Watch the clip above to hear part of Kristen’s interview.) But the Vanderpump Rules Beauty has already done a good job fixing this house and she showed her progress in a recent video.

In a tour of her new “boho-chic” digs, Kristen explains that her living room shows her penchant for contrasting colors and textures. “I like to mix metals and woods and just really, sort of mix everything, but also keep it really cozy,” she says.

Kristen’s walls are covered with images and objects with personal meaning, including framed photos of Stevie Nicks and a vintage Gibson guitar. Kristen also recalls her chic marble nesting tables and the fireplace she has surrounded with Art-Deco style tiles. The room also has a large sofa covered with mismatched pillows and a cozy teepee for her puppies to relax on.

Filled with natural light, the room is noticeably brighter than it was when Kristen bought the house. “I really like the charm and character of this house, and its age,” she says. “But, it was also very closed; there was dark wood flooring. So I just wanted to open it up and make it light and airy. Take a peek inside in the video below.
